Review: Fringe 1.20 “There’s More Than One of Everything”

- by Ben Rollman | Filed under: Featured, Reviews and Recaps, fringe

This is it folks, the season finale of one of the better shows on network TV. Will our questions be answered? Will Walter and William Bell be reunited? Will Olivia’s powers be fully realized? Will Nina Sharp stay dead? Will Astrid get more screen time? And where the hell [...]

Review: Dollhouse 1.12 “Omega”

- by Ben Rollman | Filed under: Dollhouse, Featured, Reviews and Recaps

The title is ominous. Knowing Alpha has taken Echo in the last episode, the addition of the final Greek letter is foreboding.
I have a confession to make. As Stephen Kepler, Alan Tudyk was brilliant. As Alpha, I don’t believe it. He was still crazy, but in a quirky way and not [...]

Review: Dollhouse 1.11 “Briar Rose”

- by Ben Rollman | Filed under: Dollhouse, Featured, Reviews and Recaps

Alan Tudyk makes everything better. Of his roles I’ve truly appreciated over the years as making the entire film or show better than it needed to be, this has to be the one that struggled the hardest. I don’t want to gush about him too much, but Tudyk is a great character actor [...]

Review: Supernatural 4.18 – “The Monster at the End of This Book”

- by Dan Terner | Filed under: Featured, Reviews and Recaps, supernatural

Awesome, awesome, awesome. The 18th episode of the 4th season of Supernatural gets the mix absolutely right, for me. It has comedy. It has horror. It has angels and demons. It makes reference to muppets and classic rock; to sex and to the apocalypse. What more could you ask for? How about a guided tour [...]
