Adult Swim is sharing its 11-minute pilot for Black Dynamite. It expands to 22 minute episodes when the full season begins airing in 2012. The animation by Titmouse Studios is top-notch.

Monday, July 11th, Earwolf debuts a new podcast designed to find their next show. It’s a reality show of sorts, with weekly eliminations of the ten podcasts competing for the spot. And Television Zombies is one of them. We hope you’ll cheer us on each week.

Chris Sims has been on Television Zombies twice. Once to talk about what an awful comic book “Tarot” is and why it shouldn’t be turned into a tv show (responding to a news item). He also appeared in a recent interview I did with him about Smallville, which he reviews for Comics Alliance.

His capacity as journalist for Comics Alliance nabbed him a spot as an expert on Batman for last night’s Daily Show. Enjoy!

Conan O’Brien Joins the Justice League of America

Last night, Conan O’Brien appeared as a superhero with Young Justice. Conan had previously co-created his alter-ego, The Flaming C, with legendary animator Bruce Timm. Then the WB Animation studio surprised him by putting him into the Justice League of America. Enjoy!

One fan did what I consider a brilliant job on this. Writing jokes in the style of Douglas Adams is no easy feat but in my opinion, he nailed it. Also, it retains the visual charm of the BBC tv version along with a shockingly good Peter Jones impression as the Book:

Douglas Adams and Doctor Who have a long history together. Adams was a script editor for a year of the Tom Baker series and wrote three stories – The Pirate Planet, City of Death, and Shada (which was canceled due to a worker’s strike). In series three of the new Doctor Who show, there was even an episode titled ’42′ which writer Chris Chibnall said was a reference to the Hitchhiker’s series in which 42 is a key plot point.
