Yup, that’s how I think of Dollhouse too. If I were to show it to someone I’d cut all but the first, sixth, and final episode of season one (plus Epitaph One). Just 4 episodes. Then I’d give them season two but cut out the first 3 episodes. Which would create a show of 14 episodes total. And they’d be a pretty amazing 14 episodes.

I completely agree with Dan about Dollhouse. Season 1 (beside Epitaph One) was pretty much a let down. Nearly all the episodes were poor with a few mediocre to good. This season, however, we have had a ton of great episodes. The season started off slow but since then it has really hit some creative high points. Eliza Dushku’s acting still is not great and the Alpha Storyline is “Meh” to me at best but everything else is really firing on all cylinders.

I’m glad to see Tina and Chuck have hopped aboard the VD lovetrain. It really is a guilty pleasure of a show. I’m looking forward to episodes resuming.

I agree with Chris that Dollhouse is now quite good. I’ll go so far as to say the last handful of episodes have been awesome. The show has completely turned a corner. Ironic and sad that the road it is on is a dead end and that it has already been canceled. I can’t fault FOX for this one. I think they gave the show abundant chances to succeed. It probably didn’t merit getting a second season, even. But now it has totally redeemed itself and has come into its own. While I wonder if it would have been better right from the start if FOX hadn’t insisted on meddling with early episodes, I think much of the blame has to be placed squarely on Weadon’s own shoulders. He took far too long to tell what turned out to be an Origin story. Now that we’ve reached the end of the origin story the Show Proper is awesome but even many of the show’s more patient viewers have already jumped ship and aren’t around to see it. That’s a shame, because with the latter part of this season the show has unexpectedly moved from “why the hell am I still watching this crap?” territory into “I can’t wait to see the next episode!” territory for me.

Thing about this list is that I could have added another 10, because in all honesty, the 2000s were a fantastic time for television. Far better than the 1990s and especially the 80s.

I still enjoy BSG a lot, personally. Didn’t make my top 10 but I would rewatch it all.

I just wish I’d remembered to include Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I completely agree with the list. I think that the finale of BSG really killed the series when it comes to best of list. If it had had a more compelling and fulfilling finale I think it would have been on this list.
