I thought episode 2 of Merlin was by far the least good. As the series goes on the mythology gears up. Arthur becauses a really good charactor and has a good arch going from a complete dick to what we expect him to be by the end of the first series.
Did you notice the torchwood nod(apart from Eve Miles being the witch)….they mention Weavels.
Stick with it, it get loads better. Remember Merlin is supposed to be a lightharted family show on at 7 in the evening.
Excalibur was brilliant.

The 5 ep Torchwood mini series was really good but very harrowing and terrifying from a moral standpoint. I got increasingly engaged in it to the point I got really angry with characters in the episode it sucked me into the story that much.
