About 4 years ago, Joss Whedon planned on doing a Buffy animated series. It was going to be set during the high school years (and would have included both Angel and Dawn). Anthony Stewart Head, Nicholas Brendon, Michelle Trachtenberg, Charisma Carpenter, David Boreanaz, Kristine Sutherland, and Allyson Hannigan were all on board to do their characters’ voices and Giselle Loren would do Buffy, as she did in the videogames. The designs were by cartoonist Eric Wright. The scripts were by the original writing staff.
But no one ever bit for some reason. Anyway, here were are years later and the trailer that the team put together has finally shown up online. Enjoy it while you can!

This would have been neat. And the girl playing Buffy sounds really similar. Unfortunate.

“There are things in the dark. Dark things.”

I’m pretty sure that line was intentionally dumb. It’s very Joss-ish.

it kinda reminds me of the animation for Batman the animated series.
I would be interested in watching this cartoon version over the show. because it’s just something… that I … would like…
