I’m just like Jonah with Torchwood. It physically angers me when I watch it…
However, so does modern day “pro” wrestling. ;)
I just came to this realization, but a lot of my likes and dislikes with Torchwood are VERY similar to Wrestling. The only problem is that the dislikes far, far outweigh the likes.

It’s not that don’t like wrestling, I just always feel there’s something better to be doing. My roommate back in college was a huge fan (this was during WCW days) and I’d watch it when he had it on. So I knew a little about Ray Mysterio (my personal favorite, if I had to pick) and I enjoyed the story line when Sting came back painted like The Crow.
However, I’d be hard pressed to not pick even a bad Torchwood episode over wrestling. Just me.
Changing topics, is anyone going to watch Stargate Atlantis? I thought of picking it up this Friday when the season starts, but I feel like I’ve missed 147 years of previous shows already.

Hmm, no plans to watch any Stargate at this point in time. None of us on the show have ever watched it and are iffy on trying it. We’ve yet to have any listeners ask us to check it out (they have asked us to check out lots of other shows, which we then move into our lineup at some point).
Do you watch Stargate? I was never a huge fan of the movie and whenever I see it as I flip channels I just see the black guy with gunk on his forehead and roll my eyes.

I’ve watched it. It makes for good background noise.

I saw the original Stargate movie and liked it. The series completely passed me by, because it originated on Showtime and I didn’t have Showtime at the time. Eventually, it moved networks but by that time I figured I had already missed the boat. I did start watching SG:Atlantis when it started, and it’s actually a pretty decent show. Some of the character interactions are great, some of the storylines are quite interesting, and even the bad episodes aren’t truly bad - just mediocre. As a series, I’d give it 3 ZPMs out of 5. Oh, and the guy with the forehead stamp (Teal’C) isn’t in it - he’s in the regular series.
