This week, the TVZ team discusses NBC’s new show, Journeyman — is it the best of the new series debuting this fall? Also, Time magazine’s Top 100 TV shows of all time, Bionic Woman’s showrunner departs, and Tina’s thoughts on Fox’s Bones. Plus, Sony’s prank on Halo 3!
And yes, we know it is Kevin McKidd, not Kevin Kidd. Sorry, we were sleepy.
Lame tv news Chris read about:
1)Jason Katims, who created the TV version of “Roswell” and currently serves as showrunner on NBC’s “Friday Night Lights,” will serve as a “consultant” on the network’s “Bionic Woman.”
After last week’s news from you guys that there are lots of reshoots and exec producer Glenn Morgan was ousted, this show seems troubled.
2)Sarah Wayne Callies, who played love interest Dr. Sarah Tancredi is not returning to Prison Break for season 3. Chris loves Prison Break!
3)Take this with a grain of salt. Robert Englund, who you may know as Freddy Krueger, also starred on the NBC miniseries “V”. At a recent convention, he said NBC is planning on making a remake for either this year or next.
I would imagine NBC would like to try it as a mini-series a la Battlestar Galactica.
4)You guys always talk about Dr. Who, which I’ve never seen (unless you count the Fox TV movie from the late 90s), and sometimes have mentioned its spinoff. Apparently that spinoff, Torchwood, will be coming to BBC America this season.
I see that Torchwood is an anagram for Dr. Who. Why is that?

You said you guys would talk about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows after your first episode came out. I’m ready!

According to Bob Odenkirk & David Cross’ official site, they are developing a show for HBO. No more details but maybe we can hope for more Mr. Show?
